The JPPB JSNA sub group is a sub group of Kent Joint Policy and Planning Board with representation from across both JPPB and KHG membership. The aim of this sub groupis to develop and monitor the housing chapter of the Kent Joint Strategic Needs Assessment.
The Kent Employment Support Group is a sub group of Kent Housing Group with representation from across the KHG membership. The aim of this sub group has been to develop and monitor progress against an Employment Support Protocol and Action Plan, with the overall objective to identify and promote successful pathways to training and education.
The Kent Engagement Group (KEG) is representation from the across the KHG membership who work in partnership and share good practice to ensure successful engagement across all communities in Kent and Medway, colleagues are representing both Resident Engagement and Community Development within this one sub group.
All the Kent Local Authorities and Medway Council are represented on the Kent Housing Options Sub Group and the aim of the group is to share best practice in terms of homelessness, housing options, allocations, lettings and service delivery.
The Housing Strategy and Enabling Sub Group (HSEG) is attended by Housing Strategy and Enabling colleagues from across Kent and Medway, with representation from the HCA and BPHA to support the work of the sub group.
The Neighbourhood Management Sub Group is a KHG sub group with representation from across the local authority and housing association membership. This group considers best practice, problem solving and producing strategic and operations documents to ensure high quality consistent approaches to all elements of Housing Management for the residents of Kent.
The Kent Private Sector Housing Groups aims to share best practice in terms of private sector housing (including the management of Disabled Facilities Grants) and develop and promote joint working across Kent and Medway to improve the quality of private sector housing and achieve greater consistency in implementation of key initiatives and policies by local authorities and other providers.
The Service Personnel sub group is a multi agency group with representation from both statutory and non statutory agencies whose purpose is to examine issues around accommodation for ex service personnel and to try to address those issues wherever possible.
This sub group is not led by Kent Housing Group or the Joint Policy and Planning Board, however both groups are represented and provide useful input to the group, whose remit is to monitor the impact of welfare reforms for Kent and Medway and establish communication and joint working to mitigate any unintended consequences.
