Turner Townsend, the BEIS backed service, kindly gave a presentation introducing members on Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) and the Social Housing Retrofit Accelerator that helps organisations prepare to bid.
Wave 2 of the SHDF will open late in August and be open for 8 weeks. Local authorities and housing associations can bid for funds to address at least 100 homes. This can be done as a consortia or as one organisation if you have enough homes. The criteria are still to be released but are expect to emphasise a fabric first approach
The SHRA offers help for housing associations, local authorities and consortia to bid. This is accessed via the self assessment form leading to a phone call to assess how to address the needs, access to group and individual support.
