Kent Housing Group are happy to announce our bid to the Contain Outbreak Management Fund, for funds to support the prevention of homelessness, particularly in those who have been adversely financially affected as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, was successful. This will enable us to create a video and resources to support and advise landlords on the options available to help tenants recover from the financial impact of the pandemic. It will also provide funds to each of the Kent local housing authorities to use to support tenants who have fallen into rent arrears and to remain in their home where it will be possible for the tenancy to be sustained for a minimum of 6 months through this intervention.
Regular updates will be provided at the Kent Housing Options Group and the Executive Board meetings.
