Share the warmth

Can you help your residents and customers save energy and stay warm this winter?

If your residents or customers are worried about rising energy bills and aren’t sure what to do to reduce them, there are some simple tips that could help. In less than 10 minutes, the Share the Warmth online platform will take you through 5 simple but effective energy-saving tips that could save an average household up to £512 per year. Once you’ve learnt these useful tips, you can then share the warmth with those that may struggle to access this information or that need your help to take the actions suggested.

This is a Local Government Association funded behavioural insights campaign that KCC is running alongside 7 other district councils (Ashford BC, Folkestone and Hythe DC, Gravesham BC, Sevenoaks DC, Swale BC, Thanet DC and Tonbridge and Malling BC), Medway Council and the NHS.  As well as delivering direct advice and support to residents in Kent, the data collated from this campaign will be used to inform future work on energy related campaigns.

So please share this campaign with your colleagues and networks, it can help you reduce energy use in your home but also enable you to provide simple advice to others that really need it this winter. For more information contact Laura.Taylor@Kent.gov.uk and you can share social media content from Kent Green Action on Facebook or Twitter.
