The new Kent and Medway Housing Strategy 2025 – 2030, Better Homes: Growth, Wellbeing and Choice, uniquely looks across a whole county area, bringing district, borough, unitary, county council and housing associations’ ambitions together in a bottom-up approach.
This strategy is supported by the Kent & Medway Housing Strategy Evidence, prepared by AECOM, and through this we identified five key housing themes that affect Kent and Medway:
- Accelerating housing delivery
- Infrastructure first
- Affordability and choice
- Safe and efficient homes
- Health and wellbeing
This strategy is a call to action and a foundation for change, so we can give every resident of Kent and Medway the opportunity to live in a safe, high-quality, energy efficient, affordable home that supports their health and wellbeing.
