This protocol aims to support young people leaving care into secure accommodation, whilst providing them with the necessary skills and support to both obtain, and sustain, future accommodation ultimately preventing homelessness before it has the chance to occur.
It has been developed in partnership with Kent County Council and the 12 district and borough Councils in Kent.
It was agreed in July 2025 and will be reviewed as needed.
