Each year the Kent Housing Group hosts an annual Awards event, an opportunity to recognise and celebrate all that is ‘Excellent in Kent and Medway related to Housing’. This year, due to the pandemic KHG had to take the decision to cancel the planned event for November 2020 and plan for something different in early 2021. On the afternoon of Friday 14th May 2021 we hosted our first virtual Awards event it was all about the Extraordinary!
The KHG Extraordinary Awards provided an opportunity for each KHG membership organisation to submit just one nomination and this could have been a person, project, team or even community member or group to be celebrated for being or doing the ‘extraordinary’.
Having just one nomination per membership organisation meant that all members of KHG could get involved and be used as the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary people who have continued to go above and beyond during the difficult last twelve months.
