Stronger Together – KHG and Partners executive roundtable
Social housing is facing unprecedented challenges. Financial pressures, operational complexities, and tightening regulations are putting immense strain on organisations of all sizes. As a result, vulnerable individuals and families are increasingly at risk.
KHG organised an executive roundtable discussion, hosted by mhs homes in Chatham on 17 February, to bring together key stakeholders from across the housing sector. The aim was to identify shared challenges and opportunities; explore innovative solutions and best practices; and forge strong partnerships and collaboration.
Organisations represented included mhs homes, West Kent Housing Association, Gravesham Borough Council, Moat, Clarion, Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council, NHS Kent and Medway, Southern Housing, Dartford Borough Council, Golding Homes, Kent County Council, Kent Fire & Rescue Service, Town & Country Housing, Medway Council, KMPT and Ashford Borough Council.
KHG Chair Brian Horton opened by setting the scene to highlight the challenges faced and how all partners serve vulnerable people who need good joined up services.
There followed a wide-ranging discussion on the many challenges facing the sector, with case studies used to highlight key issues. Delegates agreed to pursue a number of action points to deliver positive changes and the executive roundtable will be reconvened to examine progress.
More details will be shared with KHG partners in due course.
