The aim of this session is to bring together relevant membership organisations to review and refresh the current Intentionally Homeless Protocol, which is now out of date with the Homelessness Reduction Act and Duty to Refer legislation. The workshop will provide the opportunity to agree the purpose, use and objectives of the protocol for all partners, including a brain storm session, work flow discussion and then to agree next steps/action points.

Representatives at the workshop will include local authority housing options, housing provider West Kent HA, KCC Specialist Children’s Services and Early Help.

Refreshments will be available from 9.15am, the session will begin promptly at 9.30am.  The workshop will be hosted by Ashford Borough Council in the Council Chamber, the full address is Civic Centre, Tannery Lane, Ashford Kent TN23 1PL.  There is parking at the Civic Centre which you can pay for using coins or an application on your smart phone, please ensure you arrive with plenty of time to park pay and report to reception.  As you will be aware there are plenty of road works in and around of Ashford so please account for this in travel time to the event.

The agenda for the session is available to view and download, along with the most recent version of the protocol, which you can use for background reading.
