The third KHG roundtable on affordable council homes was held on Wednesday 13 May, 10:00-11:30am (on Teams). The session brought together local authority colleagues, including Kent, Medway, Essex, Sussex, and others, Kent Finance Officers Group, Kent Housing and Development Group, Kent Chief Planning Officers Group, and partners to explore key learning and what needs to change to accelerate delivery of much-needed homes, creating lasting impacts for communities.
Participants heard insights from a finance perspective, as well as practical insights and learning from the Local Government Association Council Housebuilding Support Service on how councils can accelerate council housebuilding.
