Beth Lamb from the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services has kindly offered to run 2 different types of session for frontline workers who may meet people with dementia. The first is;
General dementia awareness that includes:
- What is dementia? Symptoms, different types
- Adapting your communication
- How to signpost access to a diagnosis
- Adaptions in the home- Including technology aids
- Reflection on what providers could change or implement to support people living with dementia
