Autumn Statement News Update

From April 2017 the Universal Credit taper rate will be reduced from 65% tTo 63%.

The National Living Wage will increase from £7.20 to £7.50 per hour for over 25’s from April 2017.  There will also be a roll out of tax free childcare across Britain, a saving of up to £2,000 per child.

The Chancellor has also announced that there will be a ban on letting fees to tenants to be introduced as soon as possible.

From 2017 there will be an Autumn Budget, announcing tax changes well in advance of the start of the tax year, the up coming Spring Budget due in 2017 will be the last as Government moves to one fiscal event per year, the Autumn Budget.
