The Kent Housing Group (KHG) is a forum for social housing organisations in Kent. Acting as the 'Voice of Housing in Kent' the group serves to represent the collective voice of Kent's housing bodies providing advice and a 'Kent perspective' to regional and national bodies.

The Kent Housing Group encourages discussion around best practice in housing amongst Chief Housing Officers of Local Authorities and Chief Executives of Housing Associations working in Kent.

The aims of the Kent Housing Group are to:

Provide strategic leadership - shaping and setting the housing agenda;

To build relationships and influence decisions for the benefit of Kent;

To draw in resources from both traditional and alternative sources.

To work together to improve the supply and quality of affordable homes.

To create sustainable communities in Kent.

The KHG elects a Chair person on an annual basis, rotating between the Local Authority and Housing Assocation representation. The current Chair is Bob Porter, Housing Services Manager at Shepway District Council. Vice Chair is Deborah White,Housing and Communities Director at West Kent Housing Association.
KHG has a dedicated Partnership Manager to co-ordinate and work with the members to deliver against agreed outcomes.
